| | thoughtful | ] | Here's a good situation for Spirit Lamp:
Suppose you meet someone, and the two of you really fall in love, but things don't work out. You're still friendly, but you're certainly not a couple anymore.
Now suppose you have the opportunity to live your life over again, but you get to retain all your memories. When you finally get back to the point where you meet this person, do you allow yourself to fall in love like the first time, knowing it won't work out?
...
I had a dream like that last night, although I wound re-living events I don't remember (and know didn't happen) and didn't stay asleep long enough to get to the point above. Although, Chris seemed to be a cuter kid the second time around, and I do recall mentioning to my Mom that I'd meet Melinda shortly before September 11th (to which she replied, "Isn't that in just a few months?" - turns out I hadn't even left high school yet, and THAT was in 1998; imagine the confusion). |

Wow, Chris just called with a stupid question. He asked if, supposing he had someone willing to buy my car, they could take it, say, now, and pay me later.
Um. I don't fucking think so. |

Okay, so I'll be about 24 hours behind <lj-user=hak42>, but we're heading out to see Revenge of the Sith tonight. 11:40 pm showing. Very much looking forward to it.
But first, I need to go to work and do some serious stuff at the store. |

In other news, the store is progressing slowly, but it's progressing. There's still quite a bit of stuff left at the Mill, but a day of moving stuff over should be enough ot finish it. Provided I get access to something with which I can move lumber.
Covad sucks.
And more personally, I got a call from Melinda at about 7:15 this morning. Now, she (of all people) knows that I'm still asleep at that time. So, despite the fact that things seemed more or less okay, I'm kinda concerned... |

| | blah | ] | So, I installed a slide bolt on the door that my thief seems to be using to get in. Since the door swings out, he'd have to yank on the doorknob pretty damn hard to break that thing open.
Now, if the bastard wants in, he's going to have to use force.
And, after reviewing the security tape, the asshole broke in not 15 MINUTES after I left! I wonder if he was watching. If he has the same pattern, maybe I can bust the bastard tonight. And no, I'm not staying over - I need a fucking shower.
As for anything else related to moving - just about nothing done. I just haven't been able to motivate myself the last week, what with the two thefts.
By the way, consider this an open call for anyone who's willing to help move a whole store. Party starts on Wednesday. |

| | Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff | ] | 1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me." 2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions. 3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions. 4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post. 5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions
My five questions are from caitirin
1. What is the best memory you have from your childhood?
Wow. That's a tough one. There are only a few that stand out at all... Certainly, I have lots of fond memories of my best friend, Katie, who was a year older than me. But, I think I'd have to say that my best memory is from my fourth birthday.
I don't think I actually knew it was my birthday. I mean come on - I was four. My Dad needed something at Bradlee's, so he took me along with him. When we got back, all sorts of family were there for a surprise party!
I can only remember three gifts I got that night. The first is my first actual bike. It was a sparkly blue Star Wars bike, with training wheels. Aunt Geri put it together the next day.
I also got what I recall as being my first two Transformers: Starscream and Thundercracker. The obession continues to this day...!
2. Do you, or your family have any special traditions that are unique to your family, around holidays, or meals, just anything unique to you.
I can't say that we do.
3. What is one thing that makes you smile always?
Sometimes, I'll smile while recalling a fond memory, but for some reason, whenever Melinda asked me if she needed to make me smile, I would. No idea why.
4. What is the most undervalued book that you've read? (ex. a book everyone else thinks is trash or fluff, but that you really enjoyed?)
If there is one, I'd say it's the Gaurdians of the Flame series by Joel Rosenberg. But I've never really heard anyone call it crap.
5. What is your favorite quote?
"People are stupid." Spoken by Zedd in Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind. |

Accurate? Ah, who the fuck cares.

Sorry. I've been a little stressed out and super-depressed lately, what with two burglaries, not having nearly enough money to cover all my debts, this horrible feeling of sheer loneliness I have... I'm kinda going through rough patch right now.
...Maybe that quiz IS accurate. The apocalypse might not be such a bad thing, after all. |
